What is the Broadcast business model?

This is Broadcast - an alternative, fan-first destination for live music discovery.

We’ve built this the right way, by working directly with venues, promoters, and festivals - the organisers who actually create and promote live events.

Here’s how it works behind the scenes.

For organisers, Broadcast offers a powerful SaaS platform with tools that simplify event publishing and improve visibility, with monthly subscription options for the event organisers. Once an event is added to our ecosystem, it’s automatically syndicated across all connected platforms, maximising reach with minimal effort.

Broadcast offers an API that allows organisers to build websites directly on our platform - used by Rockefeller, Blå, USF, Oslo kulturnatt, and others. We also provide widgets for easy data syncing with most CMSs and websites, as used by venues like Salt and Revolver.

We also provide data access for partners such as media, publishers and hotels. These third parties can also use our API or widgets to display live events on their websites - including Lillebror, Bunks, Musikknyheter, TBA, and Ballade.

What is actually Broadcast?

Broadcast - an alternative, fan first destination for live music discovery.

Music discovery doesn’t work well today.

Social platforms are noisy. User data is often the product. Algorithms decide what gets seen.

For live music, this creates a real problem. Fans miss out on events they would actually attend. Artists and promoters struggle to reach the right audience.

At the end of the day, no one puts the fan first.

We solve this.

This is a music discovery platform focused entirely on live events.

It shows all live music events in one place. It’s privacy-first - no selling of user data. And fans control their own feed, instead of being driven by algorithms.

We put the fan first.

Why now?

Streaming has peaked. Fan engagement is moving to live music.

By putting the fan first, we build trust, and continue expanding our service across Scandinavia and then Europe.

When will I as a user and audience be able to create a user account on Broadcast?

We are working on introducing user accounts for the audience to the Broadcast platform soon. This development will likely bring additional features and potentially the expansion of event categories within the app. Please follow our updates for the official launch of user accounts.

How can I publish my events on Broadcast?

We are currently working towards a self service solution so that you can sign up and start adding in your events, and even configure your own widget for easy sync with your website plus a lot more tools and analytics, but until that is up and running, reach out to us via the chat or here, and we will give you access.

Is there a place where I can see all the festivals listed on Broadcast?

Yes, we have our own online festival overview, which is identical to the festival listing you find within the Broadcast app. This provides a dedicated space for users to discover and explore the various festivals published on our platform.

Will Broadcast support other types of events in the app feed in the future?

We will expand the event categories visible in the Broadcast app feed in the near future, as a strategic decision. We are working on implementing better filtering options to accommodate a wider variety of events. Stay tuned for updates, especially around the time we introduce user accounts, which might coincide with this expansion.

What types of events can I see in my feed, and as an organiser, publish on Broadcast?

Broadcast currently supports publishing and promotion of all types of events. While the app's feed initially focuses on concerts, clubs, DJs, and festivals for better filtering, the underlying platform is ready for all event categories and is being used by many venues already.

This focused approach allows us to refine our filtering capabilities and ensure the best possible user experience within these core categories. However, the venues profile pages include all types of events, it is only the main feed that has this focus.
